I often have dreams which are set in beautiful natural landscapes, but the storyline is gruesome. Often I'll be fleeing from some serial killer/murderer who's already murdered a bunch of people, and I'm trying to get away, through creeks and just amazingly beautiful nature. But he's chasing me and I'm afraid of my life.

Then I also have dreams about cars. Before I had my license I'd dream that I would be in a car and that I didn't know how to drive and that I'd probably make a mistake and die. Now that I have my license, the car will be going out of control fast, or all the controls are different, making it difficult and scary.

They are all in color.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
Your dreams are natural waking dreams. The scenery is created by your subconscious to grab your attention. The colours and beautiful ladsape grab your attention. Your subonscious uses your fear of death as the final waking element in your dreams.
You're also apprehensive about your driving. The fear of accidents is the waking element in your dreams.
The question is: why do you need these strong dreams to wake you? Are you stressed or tired?
Thanks for this!

You feel you are not in control of your life right now. Someone or something threatening may be intruding into your life.

Thunder Bow is very good at dream interpretation! I have also dreamed, more times than I can count, of driving, and the car going too fast, out of control, and I can't stop it. Often the brakes won't work and I end up hitting other cars. I do feel out of control in my life because I have anxiety and occasional panic attacks and phobias. So what he says about your dream makes perfect sense to me.
Thanks for this!

That's a really interesting perspective. I never thought about it like that. But it makes sense, I'm very tired and have a lot of stress. Some times I feel like I'd rather stay in the dream world.

Thanks. Yes, I do have threatening people in my life. And I do feel out of control over it.

My life is not going according to plan.
