I can't stand having nightmares anymore. I also have sleep paralysis sometimes, which just makes them worse. I have these nightmares that are so vivid that I feel like they are real. It's terrifying. Then I wake up from them and can't move. I just want it to stop.

Hi,
I'm sorry you experience these bad dreams. They are probably caused by your depression and medications you taking.
Depression and some medications disturb the electro magnetic balance in the brain and you need a more vivid dream to wake you up.
The sleep paralysis dreams work by givig the "idea" that you can't mve as extra waking elements.
Perhaps you should ask your therapist to change your medications?
If you're not taking any medications, regard your dreams as necessities to to help you wake up. Eventually, when your depression or other problems improve the dreams will be less vivid or you'll not remember them.
