I am a 40yr. old male who has recurring dreams about something. I recently rededicated my life to Christ, and am having strange dreams ever since.
The dream starts out where I get the sensation of not being able to move.
Then, I will call on Satan to tell him that I am not afraid of him, and egg him om and that I will kill him.
After I do that, I get a physical feeling of being lowered and descending.
Then at the bottom I see # people, am man, wife, and child.
They are all crying.
I continue to tell Satan that I will fight him, yet can't find him.
I then feel like I am being raised up and god telling me not to do that.
After repeating this in the same dream, god tells me nothing bad is going to happen to me, then I fully ascend all the way back up.
I feel like I'm levitating, but asleep.

Anyone with any Ideas about this one? Not sure what to make of it?

Please help. Weather your religious or not doesn't matter to me.
Hugs from:

Hello mmiikkeeyy: Well... I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to dreams & I'm not a religious person. All I can offer is that for many years I experienced episodes of sleep paralysis. These were pretty-much, as I recall, always "embedded" in some sort of dream.

One dream in particular I can recall was that I was at the home of an aunt who lived on a busy street in the town where I grew up. In my dream I would be lying down in her driveway & I would roll out into the street. There would be traffic coming. But I couldn't get out of the way. I don't recall that I ever got hit in my dream though. What would happen is that I would wake up still unable to move until the sleep paralysis finally subsided. For many years, I had no understanding of what it was I was experiencing & it was frightening!

So anyway, my thinking is that perhaps what you are experiencing is something akin to sleep paralysis or something of that sort. And the reason it is couched in religious terms is that, as you wrote, you've recently rededicated your life to Christ. Having read & replied to some of your other posts, I know you have some other stuff going on & perhaps you're carrying around a certain amount of guilt in areas of your brain to which you have no conscious access. Material I have read regarding some of the newer brain research that is being done suggests that much more of who we are, & what we do, is controlled by areas of the brain to which we have no conscious access than we might typically imagine. At least these are my thoughts with regard to your post.

Hi,
What made you rededicate your life? It seems that there was a lot of conflict in your life.
Your dream indicates that at present you're soffering from stress and depression.
Your dream is a type of "sleep paralisysis" dream with the impact of your "re-dedication.
My guess is that you already had some fairy stories told to you about your strange dreams. Your subconscious creates these dreams to wake you up from some laboured sleep.
Thanks for this!

Satan is a part of your self in this dream. A part of yourself that suppresses his feelings. Then you ascend to your higher self. Knowing you can not find this part of you anymore. You are no longer so hard on yourself.
