For the past month, every night, I've had nothing but recurring dreams (sometimes one to four in a row a night) that my fiancé ends up leaving me or cheating on me. The dreams haven't been vivid, such as me knowing who he's leaving me for or catching him in the act of cheating. I just know he has cheated on me. I've also had dreams where I end up leaving him, but not cheating on him. I don't know what to make of this. Whether it's jealousy projected into my dreams or is my subconscious is trying to tell me something? The only thing that has changed recently is that my fiancé has gotten a new job, and there's a female there that I compare myself to. If anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated.

In real life you feel you can not connect with him on a deeper level. Also you anxiety is feeding in on this.

Would that mean the same for him if he has dreams of me leaving him? What do I do to get these dreams to stop? Try and connect on a deeper level with him somehow?

Yes, connect on a deeper level, if you can. Share the anxieties, if you can. Also he can mirror a part of yourself. Are you cheating on yourself?

I don't know how else to connect with him on a deeper level, than besides to get more into what he's interested in that I'm not. I share my anxieties, but all it seems to do is make him frustrated, so I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place here. I don't know your definition of, "Are you cheating on yourself?" but, what my therapist and I got out of it is, "Am I not doing the things I am supposed to be doing for myself?" If so, then yes.

The main theme is that you have out grown him. You are more mature now, and he has not matured. Thus the cheating theme. He can only change if he wants to.
