Lately I have been having dreams where I think I wake up in my own bed out of my sleep and it feels so real. My jaw is clenched so tight that take my hands and try to pry my mouth open. I do notice some soreness on my jawline sometimes but it could be for other reasons. What does this dream mean?

Interpretation that I like: What could my dream about clenched jaw mean? : 20802 - Dream Of

If you are actually grinding your teeth or clenching them during sleep; I'd go to a dentist and have them make you a mouth guard so you don't damage them. I ground my teeth when sleeping, probably from stress/anxiety.

I've lost all the Enamel off the biting surface of my teeth from grinding....it also cause headaches. A mouth guard at night is a good idea to protect your teeth, if you can keep it in at night. Unfortunately, I always take mine out.

I was thinking that a mouth guard would be a really good idea, can I get one at a local store?

I think they sell them at drugstores. I have one from my dentist. It's a pretty great investment.
