I struggle to sleep through the night and although I go to bed at about 11pm I often see past 3am before I sleep. Then I can't get up in the morning, I spend about 14 hours in bed wasting my day because I feel tired and unmotivated. I'm probably just really lazy because I hate the feeling of being tired outside of bed so I stay in bed until I feel less tired. I miss important appointments and things that are scheduled for the morning most of the time even if I really, really want to attend. Does anyone have any tips for how to force myself out of bed and how to accept that I'll feel tired and minimise the amount of time I feel tired for? It's really ruining my life and making me feel very distressed.

Might be due to anxiety and depression. You may want to see a Therapist on this.

I have seen a number of therapists and doctors etc. I was on sleeping tablets for a while but I think I still stayed in bed late. I've tried a form of CBT also.
