I'm taking vraylar (3 mg) for my schizophrenia and it not only has it made me nauseous, but I believe it gave me insomnia as well. I last took it this Sunday and haven't been gotten any serious amounts of sleep yet. Out of these past three days I may have slept six hours in between all of them. It's usually the same thing every night so far. I'm in bed and I get to the point where my body relaxes and I can say that I'm, at least, half asleep, then I just "pop" back into being awake for no reason, as if someone keeps shaking me to wake me back up. That, or I toss and turn for hours and not feel remotely tired.

Now due to the sleep loss I'm trembling slightly, hyperventilating in areas, my gut feels like its on fire, and I struggle to stay awake in my classes. I've taken melatonin, unisom, and Diphenhydramine all with no use. I even work a physical night job with hopes that the job will tire me out, but to no use.

Any suggestions?

See your doctor about those side effects!

I'm on the same med and I am having the same problems. I do notice that I have been having jolts or jumpinesses that might be waking me up. I also noticed that I am able to nap during the day which is very unusual for me. I have an appointment to see my Dr. on Monday (it is Friday now) and I will be discussing this issue with her then, for sure! I hope you can see your Dr. soon also! Let us know how it goes. (I have Schizoaffective Bipolar, or something like that, I am not sure how they describe it).
