Anyone else experience brain fog or a sense of not being completely there mentally, even though you are still conscious and aware? I have sleep apnea and it causes me to have broken sleep, may even have sleep insomnia since I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep as well. There are lots of times where I will wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning and I will feel like I am not mentally there. Like, feeling like a zombie. My mental thoughts and other processes are very slow and I get very confused too.

My movements can be slow as well. Usually after I have a couple cups of cappuccino, I will wake up ,ore and become more alert and myself again but in a lot of cases, that is short lived. Usually I get very tired again and at times it will even get to the point where I can hardly focus. I have trouble remembering things and will become very spaced out. Anyone else have this issue? Just wondered. I've always had this issue, but it has gotten worse the older I get.

I have times like this. To the point that later in the day I won't even be sure of what happened in the morning. Being asleep and being awake has always been tricky for me. I am able to walk, eat and have full conversations while asleep. That is just crazy to me.

I don't have sleep apnea, but my husband does. Do you have a machine for at night?

Yeah I don't think I sleepwalk since I hear that you don't remember but I believe having brain fog is pretty close to it. Yeah what you said is tricky though. It can be crazy. No I dint have a machine but I want to get one. I had one sleep study done and I need to get another one.

When I sleepwalk I don't remember. Other people tell me. I was once at a sleepover and in the morning my friends brother told me all about the great chat we had. I was mortified. Lmao.

The sleep machine helps my husband a lot. I don't know about where you are, but here it cost us $2,500 CDN.

I have sleep apnea and use a machine. After the sleep study, actually 3 of them they said i had no REM sleep! was put on a 12 machine. I sleep walk in the hospitals i was told but i don't remember it. I get brain fog every morning and it s very hard to wake up and sometimes after my husband leaves for work at 6:30, i'll go back to bed and get up and hour or two later and need a whole pot of coffee about 5 cups to stay awake that I drink throughout the day. I hope you feel better.

Wow, not having REM sleep must feel awful. Not sure if I have it or not. Not sure if I make it to REM sleep or if I do, then it is probably constantly interrupted. Yeah sleep apnea can cause sleep walking. I don’t do it, although waking upnwoth brain fog in the morning can be somewhat close to it, depending on the severity of it. Yeah I have brain fog every morning too, although some mornings are worse than others. I usually drink 2 cups of cappacino a day, but every so often, I will have up to 4 in a day especially if I can’t stay focused and awake in the day.
