I had a dream I was in my second grade classroom (That year was when everything started going down hill) with a substitute that I had recently, that I hate, teaching. He was talking about anxiety, trauma, and triggers, specifically triggers. He was reading of a list of things that he said could trigger an anxiety or panic attack to someone with trauma. Welp, it did. As he kept on reading it just got worse and more and more personal. I was having an extreme anxiety verging on panic attack. Then the bell rang and I ran out of the room, which is very untypical of me. I then went to a friend who I know somewhat well and his boyfriend. Do any of you know what this means?

You were reviewing all the things that triggers you in your mind. You now have left those triggers behind and moved on.

Nope those things are still triggering to me. I have not moved what so ever. In that dream I actually felt incredibly trapped because I was still in the school and I know I would continue seeing that man. Just a PS the guy is a douche bag but isn't super awful.

But In life we cannot avoid triggers forever . Unless you want to hide in a darkened cave for the rest of your life. We can avoid a shop where someone works for example. I think everyone avoids places so they don't meet people they would rather avoid. |

our worst times in school follow us for a time unfortunately.
your brain is just manefesting the fear of this happening again, but the fact that you ran out and found someone, even if you were still feeling trapped, means that you're a step closer to letting it go ![]() |
