I started dreaming lately about burning in hell! I dream that a ghost drag men to hell because I deserve this to happen. It left me worried about my own immortality!

I've had high tea with the the devil and God before. That's two things I don't believe in at an event I don't think needs to exist, all time is tea time. It isn't abnormal to dream these things, but don't let it shake you too much.
Why does it shake you so? |

The hell might be symbolic of an unbearable situation you're facing or enduring in your waking life.

Have you? Yes. Because dreams, I firmly believe, are mostly symbolic representations of our waking lives, especially our emotional lives. Or sometimes a dream can be more or less a replay of something going on in life too. As for your dream leaving you worried about your mortality, no, let that go please. Your dream was in all likelihood influenced by, yes, stress, nothing more.

Burning in hell could be taken as per our expression"going through hell" which would imply experiencing a situation thatis hard on you; one that is causing much emotional suffering and pain.
As the dream left you worrying about your own immortality, the dream can also relate strongly to your own spiritual beliefs. Those whohave had a strict religious upbringing have it well ingrained into them that badbehaviour - behaviour not in accordance with the rules of the Lord - will endup punished in hell's fires. Note how you know in the dream, that you deservewhat is happening in the dream. Punishment is usually deserved. The ghost represents some idea in your mind that has not yetbeen completely put to rest. The men represent thoughts and ideas also found inyour own mind. Collectively the men (because they are males) can be understoodas representing your mind. Thus here some idea that has not been put to a finalrest is shown as responsible for making your mind feel as if you are goingthrough hell. Note it is not God doing any of this. You are doing it toyourself. [Perhaps you need to deal with some idea (the ghost) that isnot allowing your mind to enjoy peace. Do you have any idea what you mightthink you deserve punishment for? Many people are unable to forgive themselvesfor some wrong doing in the past. Perhaps a spiritual counselor could helphere.] |

First, thank you for the reply. It might help to realizethat many people feel guilty for things done in the past for which the Lord Himselfwould not condemn them. We all need to rely on the promise in Scripture thatsins can be forgiven. A mind that puts you through hell can affect your abilityto sleep well and also result in body ailments. We can relate "burning inhell" with the stress you are experiencing recently but the rest of dreamis more spiritual in nature. Thus a spiritual counselor could be useful.
