I need to quit. I know the addiction is strong but I am tired of how I feel and how I smell to others, silly but I am constantly trying to hide it and it's annoying. Don't laugh too loud. I cannot take the medications, contraindications with the ones I'm currently on so I can use gum, patch, lozenges, etc. What I am not sure about is is it best to taper off and then use aides, gum/patch.etc. or pick a day to stop with aides? The first option, I know, just delays the inevitable. What success has anyone had doing either?

I can't say what is best way to quit because I didn't smoke too much so for me it was not giving up a lot.

I want to say Yay for you for making a positive change for your health. You can do it!

It is hard to quite. I bought this thing online call the smokestik and it works really well. It is shaped like a cigarette and you use it just like one and it even has the illusion of smoke when you puff on it. I was able to quite using this and the patch. Here's the link to the smokestik:

it's expensive but worth it.
Thanks for this!
