How long do you typically take Welbutrin to quit smoking? I started taking it last Sunday, had my last cigarette on Tuesday, and I haven't had a cigarette or even a craving for one since, so I know it's working (thank God). But, I know one side effect is taste change, and it hit me hard. I have a very bad taste in my mouth, and some of my favorite foods don't taste good to me at all. My doctor gave me a four week supply and advised me to use it all up, but I'm wondering if I can go off of it sooner without any adverse side effects, or if the desire to smoke will return. I don't think I can stand another three weeks of this taste in my mouth.
