Last night I coughed up this little, soft, speckled brown mass and it really freaked me out. I googled it and kept finding stuff on chronic bronchitis and aspergilloma. And when I went to do field work the other day I started overheating really bad - more than normal - and I think it's time to quit.

I have been debating this for months and I think I'm finally ready to quit smoking. I think I may be developing smoking-related asthma and I made an appt to talk to my doc about Chantix next Wednesday.

Has anyone used this and had success? It's scary to think about all the things I do where a cigarette is just natural. Getting into my car; long road trips; coffee in the morning etc.... It feels weird but I'm terrified to quit. This has been such a part of my life for almost a decade. It's almost like giving up a friend. When I'm stressed - I smoke. What do you do when you feel like you need a cigarette?
