It is so hard, every time that I quit, I give in by the third day, because my irritability and anxiety get sooo bad. I snap at everyone. I hate it. Anyone else have this problem? what can I do to tame my aggressiveness when I try to quit? I do not want to try chantix or anything like that, because pills like that cause me to get hostile.....not good.....what else can I do??
Thanks for this!

Ya Chantix is not good for people with mood disorders. I quit smoking June 1, 2011. I used the patch. Once I got through the first few days it became A LOT easier. I stopped using the patch after a couple weeks and I have been fine ever since. I do have cravings here and there but not really bad cravings. I'm very glad I made the choice to quit. There is a good support group online: www.quitnet.com Check it out. Good luck

Have you tried one of these ecigarettes? I know people who swear by them.

i have thought about the ecigarettes, but they seem so expensive...i mean i suppose $7.00 a day for a pack of smokes is really expensive...I'm going to talk to my husband and see what he thinks about it....maybe he will try it with me.

My bro and sis-in-law quit smoking together about 2 months ago. I suspect you will have better results if both you and your hub quit together. The first week is the hardest. And, it is ok to be cranky! After all, you are giving up a "friend". Keep yourselves busy and celebrate each day you are smoke-free.

So, I bought a disposable e-cig....did not like it. My doctor prescribed me the patch (but the lowest dose....ugh) and hubs came home with a pack of smokes...I have no will power...lol (He said he forgot that we have the patches) Has anyone had luck with the patches? I tried them once before, and they helped for the 2 weeks that I used them, but then I ran out and forgot to buy them, and the first time I got stressed I bought a pack...what has been helpful for you guys (who have quit)?
