I am curious to see if anyone else counts in their heads? My thing is counting doors anywhere I am in my head. I can be laying in bed at night and will think about where all the doors (closets too) are in my house and count them. When I enter the kitchen I count the doors to my cabinets. Everywhere I go I count doors! I've never told anybody this because it seems weird, but thought I might be safe asking here...

I count steps. Never thought about it before.
Are we going to worry about this?
I hadn't planned to, so if I ought to add it to my list, would you let me know?
Many thanks!

I used to count steps when I was a kid. As I got older, I counted them in other languages. Now I wear a pedometer (a fitbit, actually) so that every step is counted but I don't have to pay attention to them...

I also count birds. But that's because I like watching them, and by counting them I learn more about them. I got into the habit of doing it and now it's automatic.

I used to calculate powers of two in my head when I got bored on the line in the restaurant kitchen... I'm a bit of a numbers geek, though.
Thanks for this!
