I've never smoked & this may be a dumb question. Did you ever try the nicotine gum?

Years ago when my parents quit, my mom was the one that had a really hard time. They were in their early to mid 50's & my dad started having heart trouble so they quit.

Don't really have anything useful to add...

Hope the cravings go away.

It's been 20 yrs since I quit so it's hard to remember, but I think it was 6-8 months before I got over wanting a cig at those "habit" times--on the phone, at the computer, driving, etc. The last craving to go was smelling someone light up--that first sniff of a freshly lit cigarette. That was longer but I don't remember how long.
Definitely worth it tho for me.

Cravings are annoying aren't they. I'm a little over nine months without a cigarette and although I physically don't want one mentally I crave them. Especially when I get stressed or pissed off. Also all my friends smoke. Probably around month 7 its stopped bothering me so much. Now I find the smell of old smoke on clothes gross!

Best of luck - one of the hardest things i've done is quit but its going to be worth it.

Thanks roadrunner BEEP BEEP, 20 years is inspiring!!!

I'll hit 2 years in February. I mentally craved cigs for a long long time after I quit. It is SO much better now. I'm not sure exactly when the change started because it was so gradual. For a long time I never imagined I would feel as good as I do now. Stick with it and it will come.
