I quit smoking yesterday. What finally did it for me is realizing I have been allowing a habit to push me around. It bothers me to think I haven't been able - or willing - to just put my foot down and say, "okay I want to quit smoking - this is it. No more. No excuses." and just not smoke again.
With any addiction (or even just ingrained habits) it really is a challenge to make a decision to just not do it, and stick to the recovery no matter how hard it gets, because it is what you really want. I am using some nicotine gum (occasional use of the 2mg one, not the 4mg) to help, but I really want to be done with not just the smoking but the nicotine - all of it. This will be my tenth quit as I recall. I'm not going to fail. I don't care how hard it gets! |

Hey !! that is very appreciable that you tried to quit smoking but be stable on on your decision although it will be very hard with the passing day for you to stand without smoke but don't give it up. But still if you feel so then give a try to vaporizer which will provide you with the same pleasure as smoking.

I was 2 pack for 20 odd years, quit a dozen times.
It has been since oct 2011 since I last lit up. I did it with my old lady, we just took a week off lock the door and layed there ... It sucked but Off it does get better, as long a you ignore those surges. ![]() |

That sounds great , everytime you feel the urge to smoke drink water instead or do some push-ups and notice the difference , it's difficult at the beginning , but after the second week you will realize that smoking addiction was nothing but illusion .. Good luck

WTG - I am crossing my fingers for you. I succesfully quit on about my 20th try a few months ago. It is wonderful to be free from HAVING to have them in your life. You will smell, feel & be healthier with a much improved quality of life. I did the gum too, and I really advise you join a gym or take up an exercise routine. Also, herbal tea like chamomile & sleepy time help your nerves. It gets better everyday. YOU CAN DO IT!!
Peace & Hugs, TnT
