it feels as if everyone is trying to piss me off and it would be so very easy to get my hands on a package of smokes

Good luck itsuno. I use an electronic cigerette. It has the nic, the vapor even feels like smoke. But without all of the other bad stuff. You can pretty much vape anywhere. I tried the cold turkey thing but stayed pissy. So I ordered my electronic one and I am a happy girl. Again good luck and best wishes.

It's nice to see someone else on here going through the process. I'm talking to my doc about Chantix on Wed and have been cutting down this past week in preparation. I have gotten down to about 5 cigs per day and have made it a point to get in my car without lighting up because driving is one of my things I "have" to do with a cig. This coming Friday, my bf and I are taking a road trip to NC (18 hr drive - total of 36 hrs both ways) so we'll see if he's still alive in a week

I don't know if you can afford it, but I'd suggest an e-cigarette.
You can stop putting the stuff that actually affects your health in your body and then taper off the nicotine in better health. My father is trying to quit smoking and this seems to be the best way to help him end it. |

Here's a fact for everyone who wants to quit smoking: an addicted smoker who quits cold turkey may experience withdrawal symptoms like physical and mental changes. So, it is advisable to use the Nicotine Replacement therapy methods like chewing gum, tablets, skin patches, inhalers and nasal sprays to lessen the withdrawal symptoms like cravings, irritability and other behavioral changes. These methods may double your chances of breaking away from smoking addiction. It may also help if you will ask for support from people who went through the same ordeals or from medical professionals. |
