Haven't smoked in 6 months, a cigarette in 10 months..found a bump, thought it was cancer scared me away from smoking for a few months, someone blew cigarette smoke by me and I was tempted. Almost bought a pack yesterday because I didn't careabout my health. I am tempted. How do you stay away? I really miss the calming menthol

I hear you :/ It has been 3 months since I last smoked, and just over a month off nicotine entirely (I used the patch for 8 weeks). Recently I've been aware of wanting to light up at various times, especially if I feel stressed.

Just remember that you are giving yourself your life back by staying away from that awful stuff. And I'm sure you feel better when not smoking. I know I do!

It's an addiction!
That's why we smoked, the temptation will always be there.
It's hard I know. When I see someone smoking I try to go the opposite way.
Or move far away. What keeps me from not picking up though is that I want to
run again, like I used to when I was in high school. I used to be very atheletic
and I really miss that. I was tops on my cross country team.
Although I probably can't return to the way I used to be maybe one day I can run with some stamina. And I remember how great I felt after I ran.
Maybe you could focus on a goal try something different.
Keep busy doing something.
For me its exercise
for others it could be knitting if that's your thing I've heard its great cause it keeps those hands busy.
It will take time but you can do it.

I am in the process of quitting. Managed to stop smoking while at home but there's this issue that I just can't get rid of the habit of smoking a couple of fags in office everyday. What to do to stop doing that as well??

P.S. Have managed to come down from 25-30 sticks everyday to a mere 2 sticks. Will I able to go the whole way??
