I have only one addiction left. I smoke way too much and have for many years. I cannot afford any more medication. Would the folks who have successfully quit please tell me how it was accomplished? Thanks in advance.

I used the patch, but mainly I learned to keep my hands busy at all times. I used to play my GameBoy none stop in the evenings. I also did crafts like crochet and cross-stitch. So I don't know what helped the most but I think it was playing games that got my mind off of cigarettes. I haven't smoked in 21 years. Best thing I ever done.
Good Luck.

Hi. I can't say I've successfully quit although I've been smoke free/nicotine free for 3 months tomorrow.
it's one of the hardest things I've ever done. I'm hanging in there as I hear it gets much better after 4 months. let the countdown begin...
