So I quit smoking a few days ago using the patch. It's helping with the cravings, but not as much as I hoped. Tonight I really wanted to go out and buy a pack. I was bargaining with myself that I could take the patch off and smoke a few and then go back to not smoking. Even with my body feeling so much better from not smoking, I still want to smoke. I know it's going to take a while for those feelings to go away. Also, at times I am bored to tears and don't know what to do with myself. Plus I have an anxiety disorder so smoking helped me deal with the anxiety and now I don't have that. I want to quit quitting. It's just frustrating me too much.

Hi seesaw. Congratulations on reaching Day 4. Breathing and counting the breath are a substitute for worrying.
Breathe naturally and silently count 1 on the inhale, 2 on the exhale...up to 10. then start at 1 again. Great also when I am laying on pillow trying to fall asleep. ![]()

Congrats on Day 4.
Day #8 was one of my hardest, but I managed to get through it without a smoke. The program I used wanted me to come up with my own Mantra. Mine ended up being This Can Be Done!!!! I think I am on Day 18 smoke free. So, this can be done.
