Good luck, Teddy Bear! I know how hard quitting is, but I finally quit 3 years ago after smoking for 30 years! If I had all the cash I spent on cigs I'd be a rich man! You can be wealthy, healthy & wise!

Three days is amazing! The first week is the absolute worst! The fact you were able to make it as long as you did is great. Don't quit quitting until you get it done! Keep us posted!

I smoked for over 3 decades and tried many times and failed to quit until i finally had enough and stopped trying to quit, just quit, no ifs and or butts...
I also think the idea of slowly cutting back one cigarette at a time is a form of torture and unlikely to succeed. The key for me was to commit to never take another puff. And make that commitment each day. Make a commitment not to take a single puff of a cigarette that day, stick to that commitment and then wake up the next morning and make the same commitment. After a year non-smoking became my new normal but I had smoked for over 3 decades. Each person who is reading this and is currently a smoker, you too can quit, but not by trying to quit, which leaves an out. A lot of the success in quitting depends on mindset and having the right education about nicotine addiction and how to break it. That was what finally turned me from someone who had maybe 20 or more unsuccessful quits into an ex-smoker.
