Hey all,

I started on this website yesterday and I have another question.

I've been smoking cigarettes for nearly 35 years. I tried to quit recently using a smoking patch and it didn't seem to work on its own.

It's hard for me to quit smoking, when I always have some kind of depression and have a lot of anxiety and lately been going through panic attacks. I also have what doctors call Raynaud's Disease. It's not contagious, but they say that if I quit smoking, it will help my Raynaud's Disease get better, and that's what I want, is to get better. The sooner I can quit, the sooner I can get better.

I checked online about Raynaud's Disease and it affects mostly your hands, feet, legs and arms. You hands and feet start to turn red, purple or even white. They can be swollen and you can get sores on them. Your limbs can also get numb. I get a lot of numbness in my hands from it, my fingers and toes are swollen and my fingers turn red, my toes turn red or purple.

Luckily though, it's not something that causes death, but I also read that you can lose parts of your legs, feet, arms, or hands if Raynaud's Disease continues to worsen. Raynaud's Disease is not hereditary in my family.

So as far as I know, I'm the first one to get it. I don't talk to my family, except for my children and husband.

Anyone have any ideas how I can achieve quitting smoking?

Please, I need help.

Thank you in advance.

Try vaping with a good electronic cig. It's 95% safer and less harmful than cigarette smoking. Good Luck, you can do it!

Thank you for the advice, but I don't know that's going to help me.

What I think I need is to have a support group that I can talk to about it and to maybe get some answers.

Thank you anyway.
