I'm sorry that I haven't really been here lately to participate or for support. My personal life is very stressful lately and I'm not coping well with things.
I also want to apologize for saying I was leaving when I read something that upset me. That's the 'fight or flight' response in me. It just kicks in so fast, very impulsive, I most often pick 'flight'. It's my way of self-preservation so I can't be hurt any further. Y'all probably don't believe anything I say anymore and I can understand that. Anyway, just wanted to apologize and I'm going to try harder. ![]() |

I understand the "fight or flight" syndrome because I live with Anxiety. Here's a little clue I learned from my T:

STOP! THINK... ACT (not RE-act)
Saves a lot of grief both on the giving and receiving ends. ![]()

Stop, think, act. What do you mean by act?

After you've stopped and thought about what was said or done, if you need to take some kind of action, you will be more able to take positive action instead of REacting as in an automatic reflex; a knee jerk, for example.
