Managed to tell a guy who fancies me that the feeling isn't mutual. Feel very bad about it though, it made me cry thinking about my husband. Fortunately I didn't cry in front of the guy.

Filled in final forms as I was discharged from a support network today (government's pulled funding, they can only offer support for a few months now.) Feeling really sad though.

Picked up all the things outside that might get blown away during the tropical storm and practiced my cello and bass guitar.

Refrained from going back to bed and filled up the bird feeders outside my kitchen and bedroom windows. The birds seem really glad about that. I hear them tweet, tweet, tweeting away. Actually, that's the sound they make when they're fighting each other to get to the feeders. I've seen a number of humming birds at the nectar feeder. So I did manage to give myself some joy.

After reading the above post, I feel like a total loser. I am really glad for your sake. What an example you are setting for the rest of us. You are awesome! I guess that's what being a member for over 2 and 1/2 years can do for a person. Congratulations.
Thanks for this!

Rose,

You are not a loser at all. Thing I've learned is its even the simplest things that are do rights. So I post them, so I feel like I've accomplished something. When our girls are with their mom, my posts are pretty much the same thing every day (work. dishes. cooking.).

Everyone does what they can and you are doing well.

Thank you for your kind words.
Thanks for this!

I washed the kitchen floor and cleaned up. Now my kitchen looks so nice.

I have plans to do more today.

To: PleaseHelp, Thank you very much. You've helped me to ease up on myself with the negative self-talk, which crushes my spirit. It's been a bad habit, especially for past year.

Rose: you're welcome. I do the negative self-talk too.

Went and looked at old cars (every year they block off 3-4 city blocks and people park their old cars, and you can walk around and look at them). Got the rest of the supplies to re-shingle the roof.vacuumed. Steam cleaned the living room carpet, chair, and "new" couch. Helped take old couch out and bring new one in. Made supper. laundry. took girls back to their mom's

I did not let depression overcome me tonight. I was able to communicate normally with someone I care about. I purchased a wedding gift for my cousin. I left the house.
Thanks for this!
