I feel like the worlds biggest loser. I cant pull it together. Ever day I go to work and my self esteem gets lower and lower. I feel I will never get another job becasue Im sauch a bad interview from all the abuse at work. In corporate America you can only say poistive things on an interview. I had a shrink thatused to say "take baby steps". what is the first step? Ihave no idea.

Asking for HELP as YOU are doing here is usually the first step in getting better.... then you have to ask your self "WHY" - why am I am having such a hard time? - what really stands in my way?

I think there is.... as "Why" is non sequitur imo. I'm a big believer in correcting the cognitive distortions of our thinking, speech.... the lies we tell ourselves... I'll bump that thread, if you like.. ...once i find it again. where to begin

I concur. Attacking the negative thinking by correcting for it when it comes up. Looking for one's good qualities. If you have an old reference that someone wrote for you, read it again. I try to write one positive of my day on an almost daily basis. Look for evidence to disprove the negative thinking.
I have not succeeded at all this though. I wish I had. Maybe, I'd have a better job than I do.
