Whenever someone compliments me, I feel like they are just saying it to make me feel better. I don't feel like they mean it. I always tell myself, for some odd reason, that I am the exact opposite of whatever they say I am.
I don't know what to do to fix it... ![]() JDA |

![]() sorry to hear your feeling this way, i feel the same way, its probably down to low self esteem, i guess we just have to learn to like ourselves, if we dont like ourselves then we find it hard to believe that others would. Feel free to message anytime

JDA,
Hey!, I feel that same way often. Great minds think alike -lol- that's a compliment for us both. I try to compliment myself, like , Good job! Your socks match today. It sounds silly but it gives me a boost. O One compliment is indisputable, you are one smart cookie to have found this site. Good thoughts to you fellow doubter. |

If I get complimented, I don't feel positive. I start to feel perfectionistic that I am put on a pedestal and suffer imaginary pressure that if they only knew. I rather be talked about so I feel I am an actor who could pass for anyone.
