I screwed up today, and I made it much worse by asking for help.

Shouldn't I have learned by now to never ask for help? Asking for help only makes me a huge bother to other people and they end up disliking me for my incompetence. It just proves to them that I'm a stupid, useless person who is part of the problem with today's world.

How many people have to tell me that I have no right to bother other people for my own stupid mistakes before I finally get it?

Hey, winterglen. I posted on your other thread about this topic, but I want to say a few more things. First, we all make mistakes. No one is perfect. Second, how can we learn if we don't ask for help? Third, please don't worry about it. In the scheme of things, it's not a big deal, although I can understand your discomfort.

When you get a greater sense of self-esteem, then you will understand what I mean.
Thanks for this!

Don't worry about the other people and what they think/need. Worry about yourself and get yourself help when you need it. You are the most important person in your world because without you in your world, there'd be no world
