I wish that somewhere out there someone or something had a book or written step for step guide on how to love yourself. Yeah there are all those things like doing goals, doing something nice for yourself blah blah blah, but what about the part where we have to forgive ourselves. NO-where have I ever seen or had anyone ever be able to tell me HOW.
HOW? HOW? HOW?HOW?HOW? How do I forgive myself? what are the steps to inner peace, self love and life? ![]() |

If you are not seeing a therapist I think that would be a good first step. They will help you to learn skills that can help you think clearer and in a more positive way.
Best wishes! ![]() ![]() |

Louise Hay: You Can Heal Your Life
There are ideas and suggestions/exercises in this book. It's an ongoing process, there are other things you can do as well, sometimes eg nutrition helps etc. |

I walk a lot. Being out in nature, having pets to love and care for and about are helpful too. The dogs are unconditional with their love and affection 24/7. When funds were short, I would go to the animal shelter and pet the cats and brush them for the warmth and contact.
I hope this may work for you too. Jade |

I had a short document that was about this "love yourself" (can't post a link to the short PDF consisting of 20 pages until 10 posts, sorry, but will update this post then), no idea where I got it from though. Maybe loving yourself is about accepting yourself or coming to terms with the way you are and then moving on with that idea. Because if you constantly keep rejecting yourself, then you won't have much life in the end (I'm a great example for that). That's what happens when you push life away from you.
It's funny that I know how could I improve my life, but still majestically fail at it. I just keep behaving weird and secluded in my own (fantasy) worlds, but oh well...It's never too late to change, though... In its shortest, the meaning of your life is to make your life meaningful. To make yourself something important: to be able to influence others and to leave your own legacy for others to remember you by. You know this when you help out someone that may be of trivial matter to you, but who knows if it won't be a life-altering experience for that person? ![]() As for books, Alan Tutt: Choose To Believe is the one what I've read, which may help a lot with those damned beliefs. It tells you about how powerful beliefs really are, also how to change them. In general, it helps to improve your life and yourself...At least, it should, provided you give it a chance. But no amount of theory or advice can help if you don't make the first step/small improvement on your own. Others told me something similar to "get courage and step out of your comfort zone or bubble". As someone said it to me once, if you knock down your own barriers (that limit you from tapping your potential), it becomes that much more easier to alter yourself in the positive way. I'm currently suffering in this too since some time, so might write about this topic soon: "how to forgive yourself". I'll try when I have the energy and mood. |
