My husband said I have low self esteem with a huge ego. I guess that means, I think I am crap, but want others to think I'm great. Wasn't that insensitive of him to say to me? It was just another little jab that stays with me. Obviously, he's far from perfect, too.

Yes. It was. I'm so sorry. What a terrible thing to say, especially to your own wife. So yes, of course he's far from perfect. What gives him any right to expect you to be? And if you have low self-esteem, he of all people should be helping you, not putting you down like this, which will only worsen your problem, not to mention your pain. I can't understand why so many people seem full of comments like that.
