That is so true! I read some of your recent posts on your website. Hang in there with resisting drugs and alcohol, you are on the right track. I haven't been drunk since 1982, or taken drugs since 1976. A doctor told me once to tolerate emotional discomfort. In the 70s I was hospitalized, and got arrested, but since staying clean, I've been married to my wife for 45 years. We go bicycle riding together, for a healthy hobby. I am somewhat isolated, but have friends we get together with occasionally. If you don't party like other people ,you may not get invited everywhere. Good luck getting your arrangement with your boyfriend the way you like it. Take care!

Thank you so much for keeping up with me @Catsrock and reading my site! I appreciate that so much. : )
So nice you sharing some of your story and your journey of sobriety. I am so proud of you! I hope to have long-term sobriety too. It's been really hard because my ex-husband is out there getting himself really hurt in the pursuit of drugs and his addiction. I must remember to always stay vigilant and keep my focus on today and my boyfriend, friends and family. Congrats on your wonderful relationship with your wife and all the hobbies! I look forward to a life like that too. : ) Just gonna leave this here:

Storm made it out of here! @Catsrock - thank goodness! Just a little bit of rain today - made it out to chair my AA meeting at my homegroup this afternoon like I do every Friday. So glad to see the place clean and not flooded and everyone showing up! Hope you have fantastic Friday
