I suppose any author could be appropriate. Plato, All I know is I know nothing.. How about this one, Beauty is not in the face, but a light shining in the heart! Kahlil Gibran. Your value doesn't decrease, based on someone's inability to see your worth.

So true this. I think for a lot of us, our low self esteem has been externally applied. I remember hearing Lindy West say this, that all her low self esteem issues had been externally applied - me too, I thought, me too.
