Hiya!

This is my first time posting to this forum. Actually, I don't really recall seeing this forum before! I normally hang around the "Eating Disorders" bulletin board, and don't tend to look around anywhere else. Needless to say, I have problems with my self esteem I just thought that I would come here and say hello and introduce myself to everyone. Now I'll just shut up and read posts for awhile...

That's not really me in the picture I wish it were It's my favorite singer! I posted my pictures to a board a little while ago and was totally shot down Anyway, wow, there's a lot of people here!

I know that it's what's on the inside that counts, but it would be nice for the outside to be considered pretty too I have Anorexia Nervosa, and these people on this other board saw my pictures and just told me that I was "not thin" and "not gorgeous". Not that I expected them to tell me that I was *gorgeous*, but to go out of their way to tell me that I'm not is kind of mean, I think. It's just that fairly recently I got out of my last treatment center and I gained over 90 lbs in the center . I've since lost 30 lbs, but even so, having been so skinny a year ago... I feel like I must look like a tub of lard, and it really matters to me what other people think of me

I think even less of me than others do I'm so caught up in weight and how I *must* look because that's the only way that other people will like me.

I know how it feels to be caught up with feeling not good enough on the outside, but I can tell you it doesn't matter to me and from what I can tell it doesn't matter to most anyone here what you look like either on the outside.

Hopefully you can feel better on the inside which will allow you to see how you truly are beautiful.

Welcome Bjork. I can relate to what you're saying but I think when we start to feel better about what's on the inside, we'll start to also feel better about what's on the outside.
