Just a question I need to ask because when I first joined to secondly school as the new girl. I got bullied a bit, then became to a shy, quite person which I don't like. So then I really couldn't take it anymore so I had a couple of weeks off staying at home. Now going back to school even better then I was before. Now be the real me Ayesha. But Is bullying the same as abuse?

A member of this community once posted a link (in the UK I think too) about bullying. Here is the link to that post which gives a bit more insight into bullying.

miss a, i'm sorry you were a target of bullying. i think that bullying, whether it be physical or name calling, is abusive behavior and affects the target immensely. have you discussed this issue with a teacher or someone at school?

To my mind, bullying is a form of abuse. My father was and is a bully, and we all just want to stay away from him when he is like this.

Thanks for the link useful Zh and Kimmydawn thanks for anwering the question and CJR520 I feel the same way too about my father. Bulling is abuse but with bullying it tends to be a group of people who are not related to you. Though I get the odd teased but I don't listen.
