could trigger
I'm not sure what to do. I'm in a class that I am required to take to graduate and we are talking about rape. It makes me nervous and I start to shake in class and I'm worried I'm going to have a panic attack in class. I know I could probably talk to the teacher and get out of this part of class...but I really want to put some input into the discussions...maybe to help people understand and be less ignorant...but I hate induring this. What should I do?

I hear you icky. . .I know how you feel. Abnormal Sexuality almost did me in. Talk to your prof. . .tell her how you feel and see if she can work it out so that you can be there if you want to, but maybe let you sit near the door so you can slip out if you need to. My experience has been that most teachers are willing to help out. . .but they have to know you need it. G'luck to you.

Well...I made it through. I took a serax beforehand and it kept my heartrate normal and calmed me down some. Besides some shaking I think I did pretty well.
