I wasn't sure if this should go here or in the PTSD forum, but I chose here. I keep having nightmares where I am back living with my parents. They are awful. I can't ever get away from them. I'm living on my own now, why do I have to be tormented by nightmares of living back with my parents? I've promised myself that I would never sleep under their roof again. Why wont these go away?

Maybe because you are wrestling with these issues in therapy?

I agree wtih Sannah. You are probably having them because they relate to issues you are dealing with currently, or need to deal with soon. I was plagued by similar nightmares when I was in therapy, but I don't have any now.
Dreams are the brain's way of processing what is going on for us. So... whatever is going on for you will likely come up for you in dreams. |
