I remember someone once writing that they thought their abusive parent was a good person overall but a bad parent. This has made me really mad with society. I think my abusive parents would be seen in this dichotomy. They were mostly good people and were able to be successful in social aspects and business aspects of their lives. But at home they were abusive. If you had asked people what they thought about my parents they would have said that they are wonderful people. But this makes me so mad!

(((googley))) I too feel this way about my parents. It especially makes me angry when my T tries to get me to see why my parents were the way they were... and what happens? I get to deal with all the crap and pick up the pieces while they remain good in the eyes of society. WTF? is the justice?? Why do they get a get out of jail free card and we get to fix ourselves. They abused me and yet I get to work my *** off as an adult to try and heal from their F ups! Sorry googley for venting on your thread
![]() I know where you are coming from. Wishing you peace. ![]() ![]()

No problem for venting in my thread. You are welcome to do it. I just wish they had to pay for the T that I need to get myself fixed. They caused the damage, why can't they pay for it? If they damaged someone else's property they would be responsible for paying for the damage. But once again, the private/public split protects them from having to do anything about their damage. |
