Has anyone out there done EMDR? I am doing it now and seem to be having some results... but I'd love to hear if anyone is on the other side of it...

I have done a half a dozen or so emdr sessions with my therapist.
I have been amazed with the results. There were a couple of memories
I wasnt able to process, but the majority I was able to come up with an alternative
ending, or way of thinking of the trauma. Some bizarre stuff like of being blow
out of the room where my abuser is traumatizing me, into the driveway where I
calmly walk away. I have dont EMDR for a while, but would like to get back to it
at some point. You really need to trust your therapist and they need to follow up with you afterwards for support. Good luck!

I'm not againist it per say. I am just found it to be of no help. The tapping on my head triggered me and I found it to cause myself more problems doing it then not doing it...

Not sure if this helps I just know it's not for me.

Good Luck and that is great that it's showing some results. Less meds to have to take. Alot of good things that goes with it.

Thanks for sharing,
and to PC

your new friend,
Crew

I found EMDR to be of no help. But that's just me. If it works for you, then use it. I don't think it can be of any harm.
