I am 42 and have been depressed as long as I can remember (have been on meds off and on since I was 16). My mom was married to a guy when I was about 11 until I was 14. I do not remember any sexual abuse but whenever I think about him or here his name, I get sick to my stomach. Is there anyway to know if I may be blocking memories?

Your mind should give up the memories when it feels that you are in a good position to do so (feel safe and that you can handle it). Continuing to take good care of yourself and heal should help this process. Are you in therapy?
