Hi
I think there is a book called 'the body remembers' or something like that. Basically youir body does remember whether it happened at 2 or 12. Your conscious memory might have forgotten but the memory remains in your body and comes out to you through anxiety, tightness or fears. This is your body taking you to a traumatic experience that happened earlier in your life that your mind could not handle as you were traumatised. Sooner or later the memories come up and reveal to you what really happened that you have consciously erased. |

Memories seem to surface when you can handle them and not earlier. Your body and mind want to heal. They are waiting for you to be ready. I'm glad that you have a therapist.

Yes, it can take years. 40 , in my case. It's never to late to begin to heal.
