we were watching CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on Friday night. It comes on the Spike network every evening ( reruns). They dont normally bother me but this one did.. it was horrible.. some guys broke into this house and locked the parents in a closet while two men raped this young girl.. she went to try to identify the men and i had to leave at that point... i got up and was about to cry and my husband said to me, is it too much and i couldnt even answer him.. but he knew the answer.. so i left to go get some ice cream... by the time i got outside to the car i was shaken and my daughter was like what is wrong mom... i told her i was ok... but i wasnt... as we were checking out at the store i get a message on my phone from my husband... it said be glad you left.. you would have not liked the ending... When i got home he said i am not going to tell you the ending, but it made me cry..
I was like wow it must have been bad.. he said it was, and i am glad you left ....

It is strange how just watching a tv show, where you know that they are acting, can trigger that flood of emotion in you.... i was jittery the rest of the weekend.
Thank goodness my husband is so understanding

Know the feeling, Due to being physically sick this past week I have been doing alot of sleeping and floating in la la land, Last night I decided it was time to get back on track and start feeling again. There was a movie called Bastard Out of Carolina on. It definately made me cry and it was only half way into it when I said ok enough letting myself feel time to shut off the tv and put together a puzzle and do some drawing.

Bastard Out of Carolina is a fictional story about a backwoods country family, focus point on a woman and her two children, the oldest of which is abused physically and sexually by the new stepfather. even though it is fiction (not a true story) it definately portrays the reality of abuse and is not for those that trigger easily or alot.

{{{{{Mel}}}}} I've seen that one. I understand.

Quite a few years ago, I was triggered by the movie "When A Man Loves a Woman." i love csi but i had to walk out on this episode

I don't like the song either because it is so much CRAP! That isn't love! That's being an abuser and a victim!
