title says it all. I don't even know how to deal with this. the kids are safe now, but I'm still reeling from it.

No, she doesn't know. It's a friend of the family - a friend she is still friends with.

i'm so sorry. i know how you feel though. my mother never left my stepfather so i still have to deal with him. it's very hard.
