I've been having really bad nightmares, nearly everynight, and it's like i'm reliving my past abuse. I wake up in shock, and can't move. Once I get over that, all I can do is cry, and wish I were dead. I don't know what to do.

i have really bad nightmares too. it's been suggested to me to try altering the dreams - after all, you can do anything in a dream right? but i have been unsuccessful in this. i have worked instead on training myself to wake myself up when i have bad dreams. once i'm awake i can ground myself. then i usually need to read, or watch a show or something for a little while, just so i get something else on my mind before i try to go back to sleep. this makes for interrupted sleep, but it's worked better for me than anything else.

I agree with gretta. I cant control my dreams so waking myself up from them seems to be the next best thing. You might be waking up every hour but it really helps. Lately ive been getting to the point where when my dreams start to take a dark turn i immediately wake up.

Im so sorry you are suffering, dreams are so scary sometimes. I hope you have a t you can sort this out with
