I've been looking for books/other resources that take a Buddhist/zen approach to recovering from rape, but I can't find any. Does anyone know of any recommendations?

I'm not Buddhist myself necessarily, I just find the approach works for me. So mindfulness-based stuff might work also.

I don't have a specifically rape- or trauma-related resource, but I think Tara Brach's book Radical Acceptance is good and has helped me cope with my trauma from a Buddhist perspective. Pema Chodron's books are also good in the same vein, like When Things Fall Apart.
Thanks for this!

Yes, I do that already . . . it just has nothing to do with trauma recovery?

Rape and recovery the Buddhist way? I dont think that there is anything/book that addresses such a specific topic.
When things fall apart is a good book pages 34-35 speak of a woman warrior who was instructed that she must go into battle with fear.
Rape is about power and control. And should be addressed in therapy.
Another great book in the Buddhist realm would be "Insight Meditation" the practice of freedom by Joseph Goldstien.
As a survivior, my thoughts/prayers/meditations will be with you!
