It stars Marlo Thomas and Allie Sheedy. It came out on TV about 20 years ago. The first time I watched it, I felt like I was watching a movie about my own family. For years, I'd been looking for it on VHS/DVD but could never find it--not even on Netflix! But I did find it for sale on Amazon.com. It's based on a true story, and it's about 4 grown sisters who finally come to terms with the awful abuse they and their brothers went through. WARNING! It's very triggering, though. I bought it from Amazon and watched it again yesterday, and it still brought up old scars. Then I let my sister borrow it.

Did it make you feel validated, not so alone?
Was physically abused growing up, still can't watch anything involving it. Hope you're able to work thru your pain. ![]() |

The validation helps me too.
I too have to be careful with triggering stuff. Carol
