For starters, I want to say that I am in no danger of taking my life. I have a wonderful little sister and family to live for and I would never consider attempting suicide. However, I think about it every day. I have carved the words "DIE" and "JUMP" into my leg and I even have nightmares where I repeatedly try to kill myself. I don't know what to do. I'm not suicidal really, but I hate feeling like this and don't know what to do.

Silent_Tears, have you ever went to or considered going to a psychotherapist to work these things out?

Why not check with her and know that she knows? I know you're not contemplating it, but intrusive thoughts aren't something you should have to shoulder alone either.
![]() ![]() It's a big deal as long as it weighs on your conscience, as I see it. ![]()

I tend to look at the suicidal state as my "comfort zone." It's a good thought that there's a way out of the pain and suffering, and it's a nice thought to play with. Not one I would EVER act on (again) but one that I have learned to live with by defining it as as escapism thought. I get over this by writing a story or a poem.
