I didn't have the best childhood, and I have no idea where my parents are anymore. Anyway, my boyfriend is very close to his parents and family, and were always over there and it's great. They seem really nice, their probably thinking I'm not good enough for their son but oh well. Anyway, their always asking about my family and I don't know what to say so I just brush it off. I think my boyfriend might suspect something but I haven't told him. I haven't told anyone. The voices in my head don't help, but I keep that well hidden lol. Anyway, do you think I should say something to him/his family. We're pretty serious, been together 2 years now. I have never told anyone before , I wouldn't know how to go about it

You can't really tell what you don't know. Maybe you can work on this as it sounds like it is a recurring theme for you with his family.

You do know your childhood wasn't stellar. So start with that. Not gory details just that you weren't a very close family and that you are on your own now. And you aren't real sure where your family is and change the subject.

Always be truthful. But it is your choice as to how much you share Try to come up with some actual good memories & stick with those.

You are lucky you found a family in your bf's. I wish you all the best.

Honey, you know that lies always turn around and bite you in the fanny, so don't tell any lies.

Just tell him the truth. Tell him you don't know where your parents are, as they were NOT really "parents" to begin with. Just tell him that you had a difficult childhood, and some day you'll tell him the whole story.

Let HIM decide what to tell his family. They don't need to know everything. It's really none of their business right now. If you two decide to get married, then of course the "story" will all come out. But right now, there's no need for them to know everything.

I wish you the very best. Please take care and God bless. Hugs, Lee
