In a month I'm going to an intensive center for trauma. Of course nervous. Wondering what 1 week can do. Scared and don't want to feel like I'm hopeless if I don't get much help from them. I really wish I could go today. I want someone to care about me everyday.

It must be so hard to have made a big decision like this, then have to wait for it to get started! I hope the time passes quickly for you, and you then get a lot out of the experience. You are so brave to go do this!

I hope it helps some. It may not be a cure-all or relieve everything by magic; most healing processes take time (I know! Wish it didn't.) but I do wish you some relief.
Take care and get what you can out of it. Carol

Getting very scared. Haven't told extended family and am overwhelmed about planning for being out of school for the last week. Dont want to tell friends, etc what I am doing but don't like the mystery that I'm on medical leave at such an inconvenient time. So many worries. Hard to breathe.

Do you have a trusted friend or family member that you could designate to pass the information to other family members? That might take one thing off your shoulders. Maybe you could ask your treatment providers about informing friends once you are there? They might be able to help you figure out who to tell and what to say. Then maybe you could send letters or emails while you're already safely there.
You're being so brave! Hang in there! |
