36 years since the molestation. I finally find the courage to do something about it, thanks to my therapist, and I can't do piss about it. Statutes of limitations ran out decades ago.

I'm so sorry to hear that But well done for having the courage! Even if you can't get the chance to confront it through the legal system that is a great milestone.

If the abuser is still alive, you might want to write a letter of "restorative justice"---Restorative Justice says....this is what you did, this is how it made me feel. The letter is for YOU.

That is the kind of letters I sent. To him. His wife, one of his daughters and his grandson. Told them all what he did. Did that through FB but then also sent a letter typed and sent to he and his wife. My Dad was helpful in finding his address for me.

Did any of them respond to your letters?
If so or if not, did this help your healing.
