I have seen T for a year. Yesterday she asked if I would like to try to work on trauma ...that it would include homework. I said I would try it. I guess she will have materials for me to start next week.
I forgot to ask what this material would look like or what the homework would entail. I'm supposing there are tons of trauma workbooks for T to choose from. This is just a shot in the dark, but do any of you have experience working with trauma handouts or workbooks? What do they ask you to do for homework? |

I have started various workbooks but I cant at this moment remember what they have entailed. I know I have done a time line of my life several times and t asked me to do this for her as well. t doesn't make me do much homework for her. most of the time it is doing things that are going to make me feel safe. painting pictures or making collages or looking for pictures on the internet that make me happy or feel safe. I hate doing this. it frustrates me because I never feel safe. nowhere is safe. I see a sunny beach and suddenly someone is poppin out from behind a palm tree to attack me. it just doesn't work for me...lol.......I feel safe in totally black nothingness of my own creation...nobody can get me there. t doesn't like that...she needs something she can describe. we really clash on that..........good luck
